Manchester City vs Arsenal 1-0 Highlights -18 Dec, 2011

Preview: Manchester City had a 14 match unbeaten start to the Premier League season. Not anymore unbeaten they are as Chelsea ended that run last week with a 2-1 win. This phase for Manchester City was always expected to be tough with back to back matches against the Premier League heavyweights. Last week the team failed to overcome their first big challenge. However they have opportunity to make amends this week as they take on a resurgent Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League. Last time these two met in the Carling Cup where City were able to win it 1-0. Both teams go into the match with no significant injury. At home City should be the favorite to win this one though it won’t be easy as they will have their confidence shaken after last weeks defeat plus Arsenal have their superb in form striker and captain Robin Van Persie. In the premier league Van Persie leads the goal scoring chart with 15 goals this season and 33 goals in 32 games this calender year so far.

He will be hoping to keep his form good and continue scoring specially against Manchester City a win will mean a lot for Arsenal campaign this season. Predicting the outcome of this match is very difficult so we are guessing it might be a 1-1 draw.
