Arsenal vs Swansea City, September 10th, 2011. GMT 15:00
Arsenal are set to host newly promoted team Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium on the coming Saturday. After a devastating lost over the hands of champions, Manchester United which resulted in an 8-2 score line. After that, Arsene Wenger called up a lot of pressure upon him but he turned the tables. Signing 8 players out of which 5 players will immediately join the training session on Wednesday, in just 48 hours of time. This was a move, no one had ever expected from Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benayoun, Andre Santos, Park Chu-young and Per Mertesacker will attend the training session on Wednesday and are most likely to play against Swansea city, this weekend.
"New faces tend to get everyone bubbling. We all have to lift our spirits and hopefully those new signings will do the job” – Theo Walcott
"It’s always difficult when it comes to a new club." He said that there are high expectations of fans and supporters and hard work is needed to win their hearts and minds. “I look forward to working through and doing all the work for Arsenal.” – Andre Santos
After the worst loss Arsenal has ever faced in the last 10 decades, Wenger’s men would have to play at their best in order to win back the support that the Arsenal fans have brought on them.
The Question remains, Can the new players cope up with the existing players soon enough or would they take Arsenal to their milestone, The Premier League Title.
