Newcastle United 1-0 QPR -15 Jan, 2012

Preview: Newcastle will be inviting Queens Park Rangers to a lovely game today. Newcastle will be enjoying the advantage of the home crowd.
Absentees of Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote due to international duty will set Newcastle Manager Alan Pardew into an intense decision, keeping in view the injuries of Peter Lovenkrands, Sylvain Marveax, Sammy Ameobi, Nile Ranger and Steven Taylor.
The fact is that nothing can be so sure about the two teams as they have faced each other only thrice in the previous 10 years. Even in these three fixtures, Newcastle won one and the other two were clear draws.
The Magpies are still seventh in the league having gotten a great start. However losing five times in ten fixtures last month was a hell of a drop for Pardew’s side. Still the Magpies will have to cover up for the absence of their ultimate striker Demba Ba.
On the other side we have QPR, wandering about the seventeenth position, on the edge of relegation. They definitely know that they need to pick the game up if they want to stay in. Even though, this side is still missing Joey Barton, who is still suspended. However, Leon Best is thought to be the striker who could make it tough for Newcastle.
Result: Newcastle United 1-0 QPR
