Preview: Liverpool is headed to come face to face with Manchester City at Anfield in the semi-finals 2nd leg for the Carling Cup. Some players in both the teams could play vital roles.Gerrard is still the crushing force for Liverpool. Although he sustained a lot of injuries this season, there is still some spark left to show in this game. However there is someone planning to be on his tail all time long, and that is definitely Gareth Barry, who will try his best to lessen his impact.Luis Suarez will also be absent in this match due to suspension.Whereas Andy Carroll will be playing, but nothing much can be expected as his performance in the previous matches has been very disappointing as he still tries to fit in (a single goal in 14 fixtures).
