Sebastian Coates was elected as the Best Young Player of the Copa America and won the trophy Claro in the end of the final between Uruguay and Paraguay, where he was crowned Champion of the tournament.
Competing against great players such as Costa Rican Joel Campbell and Brazilian Neymar for this award, the 20 year defender won this award after four beautiful exhibitions in the competition. In addition to the Trophy Claro, Sebastian Coates also lead Uruguay to the title of the 2011 Copa America, becoming the team that won this tournament more than 15 times.
