- LA PLATA, July 17, 2011 (AFP) - The Paraguayan striker Nelson Haedo Valdez admitted that the 2-0 victory, on penalties, against Brazil, on Sunday, was lucky, because his team did not show a good football.“We missed football, but had lot of luck”, said the striker after the match that went to extra time and penalties, played in the stadium Ciudad de La Plata.Brazil lost four penalties in a dramatic match to the end of 120 minutes, that ended with a tie by 0-0. "We won with luck and heart", said the player."It is true that we had a bit unlucky against Venezuela (3-3), but today, against Brazil, who beat the whole game, we had faith, the will to win", he said.It is the first time that Paraguay gets to the semifinals after the new format of the competition, with 12 teams, since the Copa America in Ecuador, in 1993.Source: ca2011.com
