Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie led Arsenal to victory over Sunderland by scoring 2 goals in the Barclay's Premier League match today and moved his team up from 15th place to 10th. Robin Van Persie said:
"I guess it was my first touch, I was a bit surprised as well, but it was a really good pass from Gervinho, I took a good touch with my left foot and it went in. But I didn't know it was such a quick goal. How long was it?"Van Persie scored on a free-kick with eight minutes left to put the Gunners back in front Vand admitted that he has been missing chances of late and was delighted to find the met. He said:
"I felt confident because it's my favourite position, but I have to be a bit critical and look at myself because I have missed many chances, so it was about time to be honest."Arsenal have had a poor start to the season but it seems like they are improving their current form and are boosting up to compete with other top teams in the league.
